Aoide
“This is an ode to Aoide, the original Greek muse of song. I had recorded the piano part ages ago and one day, while cleaning my hard drive, I stumbled upon it. I recorded the vocals and played a guitar solo in the middle. Then I realized the solo could sound great if a saxophone did it. So I asked my friend Judith who kindly said yes – and she did a great job.”

LYRICS:
She makes my life so much easier
She fills my heart with love
She makes the day so much prettier
She looks at me from above
She makes the sun shine much brighter
She waits for me when I’m gone
What would I do without her
Where would I be today
There’s just something about her
That makes me feel this way
She parts the sea so much wider
She lets me be when she’s done
What would I do without her
Where would I be today
There’s just something about her
That makes me feel this way
She is my voice and my fire
She whispers songs in my ear
I humbly kneel to her powers
I shall reveal what she wants
